Giving Zakat
Mark your gift as Zakat when you donate and we will track it separately and distribute it appropriately. Paying by bank transfer? Put “Zakat” in the payment reference.

Does all of my donation really reach the programmes?
Yes. We run a 100% donation policy. Our operational costs are covered separately, so nothing is taken from your gift for administration. Every penny you give goes to food, water, shelter or UK support.
Can I give my Zakat through the Fatema Foundation?
Yes. Mark your donation as Zakat when you give, or write “Zakat” in your bank transfer reference. We track Zakat separately from Sadaqah and general donations and distribute it appropriately. Use our Zakat calculator to work out what you owe.
How do I claim Gift Aid?
Tick the Gift Aid box when you donate and give your home address. You must be a UK taxpayer who pays at least as much Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the tax year as all the charities you support will reclaim. We then claim 25p for every £1 from HMRC.
Can I give by bank transfer?

Can I cancel a monthly donation?
Yes, at any time. Email us or call 07522 189323 and we will stop it straight away. Your earlier gifts will already have gone to our programmes, and we are grateful for every month you gave.
